| The West Usk Lighthouse was decommissioned in 1921 and was sold as a country retreat with over 50 acres of land. It was left derelict for a number of years afterwards until its conversion to a home in 1989. Today it offers comfortable accommodation and a room that has been made over by the TV programme "The Hotel Inspector".
The lighthouse also offers an authentic Mongolian yurt and holiday mobile home suitable for those who would like to do some fishing or bird watching or just would like to experience peace or something quite different whilst visiting Wales. On request and at an additional cost, a Rolls Royce can take you to a local restaurant, sipping champagne if you want!
This recently refurbished hotel in Newport city centre has modern, comfy accommodation with free Wi-Fi, continental breakfast and on-site parking.
Nightlodge hotel is just a few minutes’ walk away from the passport office, Civic Centre, St. Woolos Cathedral, Newport Castle and the City Museum. The new Kingsway Shopping Centre and popular nightlife and restaurants are also close by. Also within reach are theatres and the recent riverfront development.
The hotel is 5 minutes from the M4/M50 motorways and a few minutes away from the main Newport bus and train stations for easy access to Cardiff, the Millennium Stadium and CIA.
