Monnington Lodge began life back in the 16th Century as a farm built and owned by the family of the infamous Captain Henry Morgan and is set in its own grounds overlooking the small town of Blackwood - a short distance from beautiful woodland, and yet within easy reach of the cities of Newport, Cardiff and Bristol.
